“I have a older boiler in my condo unit that still works, but was shutting off during the night a couple of weeks ago during frigid weather. Duane came and checked it out, did some maintenance, and although when he arrived the boiler was running again, he surmised that the problem was with the 2 zone valves on the unit, it was his professional opinion and made the most sense to him as to why it kept failing. The next day he was back with both new parts and installed them for me. There has not been another shutoff during the night and it's keeping steady heat on both levels of my condo. He did a great job and explains the work he is doing and how it will help. What a relief. Thank you Duane and Chaves!”

“Our 20 year-old a/c system “died” on one of the hottest days of the year. Fearing the worst, I contacted our previous HVAC company for a service call and was told that based on the volume of calls received, they were not booking any more appointments. Panicked, i called several other HVAC Companies and heard responses like “existing customers only” and “two to three weeks out” for an appointment. Then, there was the “surge pricing” for a team to even come out to the house ranging from $79 to $199 (which would be applied to an install, but not a repair). Despondent, i took a look at the Trane website and saw that Chaves was a certified repair and installer for our units. Boy, am i happy that I did!
Not only did they have a service team come out that same day, but they knew exactly where to look, just in case the unit was still serviceable. Happily, a relatively inexpensive capacitor was all that was needed to bring our a/c system back to life and a cooler home.
We couldn't be more pleased with Chaves! Everyone we dealt with from our initial call for service scheduling to the repair crew that came out – all were friendly, professional, knowledgeable, happy to answer questions and respectful of our home.
We have decided to consult with Chaves on a less time-sensitive project we are interested in undertaking before next summer. Based on our experience with Chaves thusfar, we may be saying “good-bye” to our previous HVAC contractor and “Hello” to Chaves’ Sales, Installation and later, Service Teams for this potentially large undertaking to improve the entire HVAC footprint, ducting and systems of our home.”

“Replacing our home’s 25-year-old central air conditioner with a heat pump, during a transition to new refrigerants, while making using a Heat loan, involves a lot of complexity and moving pieces. Nelson was extremely helpful in selecting and properly sizing our new heat pump, explaining some of the compromises involved in reusing most of the previous system’s ductwork (which we did with a couple additions) and other limitations, and understands the Heat loan process. And because Chaves serviced our previous system for the past several years, he referred to those records as well. Our installation team, Danny and Carlos, worked carefully and left everything neat and clean, and were similarly helpful. They took the time to answer our questions carefully and patiently. Overall it has been a great experience, and I’d work with them again as well as recommend them to family and friends.”
“Arthur arrived during the scheduled time slot and replaced a condenser fan motor. He was efficient, pleasant, and described the necessary steps after I asked (in case I need to do it myself some day). After he finished with the fan motor, I asked about the possibility of replacing a battery powered thermostat with a wired thermostat in a small heat pump system installed by Chaves. I thought it would be simple, since the previous thermostat was wired, and the wires remained. Arthur explained that the existing four wires were insufficient, and new wires would have to be run. Unfortunately, there is no reasonable way to do that. He also explained the need for the extra wires. Overall, I could not be more pleased with the service visit.

He arrived, did the maintenance work and informed me of a small adjustment he needed to make to the gas pressure. Polite and friendly. “
